An Interdisciplinary Research Institute That Enhances the Urban Land Grant University’s Mission of Teaching, Research, and Service
The Center for Social Development and Education (CSDE) is a multidisciplinary research and training institute whose mission is to promote the social development of children with disabilities and increase their success in school and the community. Unique to CSDE’s mission is the value it places on translating research to practice.
For more than 30 years, CSDE’s research findings have guided the development of evidence-based instructional curricula and graduate training programs.
Operating through the center, Camp Shriver at the University of Massachusetts Boston welcomes children with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities to a free inclusive summer sports camp each summer.
Together with our partners, the South Boston Boys & Girls Club and the National Inclusion Project, the Center for Social Development and Education is pleased to announce the launch of our latest program: Saturday Camp.
