Providing Environmental Instrumentation Access and Training
The Environmental Analytical Facility (EAF) at the University of Massachusetts Boston is a collaboration between the School for the Environment and the Biology Department. The EAF is home to shared environmental analytical instrumentation and sample processing laboratories. The EAF is mostly supported by the School for the Environment and a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF Award # 09-42371; DBI:MRI-RI2; PIs: Hannigan and Christian). The goal of the EAF is to provide access to instrumentation and analyses to UMass Boston students, faculty, and staff and outside users in a research (i.e. non-commercial) setting.
