Fast, Easy Access to the City: Just Steps from Campus

One of the train stations on the MBTA’s Red Line subway line, the JFK/UMass stop is just a short walk from campus! Get to the T quickly with the free shuttle bus that runs from the Campus Center to JFK/UMass throughout the day. You can also rent a Bluebike right here on campus, or walk in just 15 minutes.
Once aboard the T, UMass Boston students are just a quick train ride away from all of Boston. Whether you’re commuting here from home, have an internship or job, or want to explore the City of Boston, you can do it all without a car. The Commuter Rail also connects at JFK/UMass station, giving you even further access to the rest of Massachusetts. Discounted MBTA passes are available to UMass Boston students, making the Red Line one of the most accessible ways to get around.
