Marine Operations Offers Tall Ships Harbor Cruises
This July, UMass Boston Marine Operations is offering a special opportunity to experience the historic Tall Ships from aboard the M/V Columbia Point.
Ticketed guests will get a three-hour narrated harbor cruise featuring up-close views of the Tall Ships and visiting naval vessels docked throughout Boston Harbor. Cruises will depart from Fox Point, located adjacent to University Drive between Wheatley Hall and McCormack Hall, and travel into the inner harbor for a leisurely cruise alongside the berthed vessels. Light narration and music will be provided.
Cruises are scheduled for:
- July 13, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
- July 13, 2–5 p.m.
- July 14, 2–5 p.m.
- July 15, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
- July 15, 2–5 p.m.
Passengers are encouraged to explore the vessel, take pictures, and enjoy the views from the harbor. Food and a cash bar will be available onboard.
Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum capacity of 80 passengers per cruise. UMass Boston students with a valid university ID can join the cruise for $20. Tickets for faculty, staff, and community members are $40.
