Proposals in the Curriculog system that have been inactive for a substantial period of time will be archived. Unless there are known extenuating circumstances, proposals related to courses will be archived after six months from the last date of activity in the system; proposals related to programs will be archived after one year from the last date of activity in the system. Off-campus approvals can sometimes take a long time; therefore, proposals that require off-campus approval and have already been approved by all levels on campus are exempt from this timeline. The Provost’s Office, in consultation with the Registrar, will be responsible for monitoring the timely movement of proposals through the Curriculog system and determining which proposals should be archived.

Archived proposals can be reactivated. Some reactivated proposals will be able to resume the approval process from the last point of activity in the system while others may need to return to a previous level of approval, depending on the nature of the proposal and how long it has been archived. Any such decision will be made in consultation with the proposal originator and their department Chair.
