UMass Boston

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: My plans have changed and I’m unable to participate in the conference. How do I let the organizers know about my presentation/panel/roundtable?

A: Sorry to hear you won’t be able to join us at Mohegan Sun! Please send an email with the subject heading “Conference cancellation” to naisa2012@history.umass.edu. Include pertinent details regarding your panel or roundtable and we will take appropriate next steps.

Q: I'm planning to use PowerPoint during my presentation. Will this be possible?

A: Every breakout room is fully equipped with a laptop, projector, and screen. AV technicians will be on hand throughout the conference center
to help presenters upload their PowerPoint presentations onto the laptop. To facilitate this process, please bring your presentation on a "flash drive."

Q: I’m traveling with children – are there any childcare facilities at Mohegan Sun?

A: Kids Quest is a licensed, supervised childcare facility at Mohegan Sun. For further information, please visit their website.

Q: I have not received any information on the status of my proposal for the NAISA 2012 Conference.

A: The NAISA Council sent out emails in late January detailing the status of presentation proposals. These notices went to the email addresses provided upon submission. If you have not received an email yet, please check your Junk or Spam folders to make sure that it has not been sorted into one of these. If you experience further problems, please contact us for assistance.

Q: Is it too late to submit a proposal to the NAISA 2012 Conference?

A: Unfortunately, proposals were due in early November 2011. At this stage in planning the 2012 NAISA Conference, no late submissions for proposals are being accepted. We thank you for your interest and hope that you will still be able to participate in the conference by attending this June.
