Campus Security Authorities

The law defines “Campus Security Authority” as “An official of an institution who has significant responsibility for student and campus activities, including, but not limited to, student housing, student discipline and campus judicial proceedings.”

Examples of CSAs include professional staff in the Dean of Student's Office, the Campus Center, Student Activities, the Office of Student Leadership and Community Engagement, the Department of Athletics and recreation, the Office of Student Housing, University Health Services, advisors of student organizations, and administrators in satellite locations (Braintree, Copley Square Boston, Framingham, Hyannis, Lexington, Lynn, Nantucket, Plymouth, Revere, South Easton, Springfield, Tyngsboro, and Wakefield).
