Effects of Age, Sex and Isometric Exercise on Ventricular-Vascular Interactions during Cardiac Unloading

Project Description 
The Integrative Human Physiology Lab seeks healthy young (18-40) and older (≥60) adults for a study on heart-vessel communication during low blood pressure events, such as standing up quickly. Participants will visit the lab twice, lie in a vacuum chamber mimicking this condition, and have heart function, arterial stress, and blood pressure measured. We will also test if handgrip exercise prevents sudden BP drops. Visits last 1½ hours. Participants will receive a total of $ 60 in gift cards.

The Impact of Cultural and Racism-Related Experiences (CARE) on Mental Health and Well-being for People of Color

Looking for person of color age 18 years or older 
 
Project Description 
If you identify as a person of color and are 18 years or older, you are invited to participate in a confidential, voluntary online research study to understand how people of color manage their mental health.

The study takes about 50 minutes to complete. You can choose to be entered into a raffle for one of four $50 awards or receive extra credit from a course if your professor is awarding extra credit for participating in studies.

Faculty Digital Competencies: The Need for Sustained Digital Engagement and Continuous Learning

Listening to Heal: Building Restorative Community and Support Spaces for Women of Color Students

Looking for Undergraduate and graduate students at UMass Boston who identify as women of color and are 18 years of age or older.

 Project Description 
You are invited to participate in a focus group for women of color students at UMass Boston. The session will explore student experiences related to belonging, support, and campus climate. Participation is voluntary and involves a 60–90 minute discussions. Participants will receive a $25 gift card.
