- Through September 1, drivers will not be able to leave campus via Mt. Vernon Street. Starting August 14, a temporary roadway will be open between the Massachusetts Archives and University Hall. Our Construction Update provides a map and additional information.
- During the month of August, the Route 8 and Route 16 MBTA buses will only stop at the JFK/UMass MBTA station.
- All faculty, staff, students, and visitors who can use public transportation are encouraged to do so. Drivers should go directly to the Bayside Lot at 200 Mt. Vernon Street. Bayside is not open on the weekends.

Are you taking public transportation?
Take the MBTA’s Red Line to the JFK/UMass MBTA station and then take one of our free shuttle buses. Our buses, which run every 5 to 10 minutes, will drop you off by the Campus Center or Clark Athletic Center.

Please allow additional time for driving, parking, and walking due to possible delays caused by construction. For more information, check Construction Updates at www.umb.edu/construction.
On weekdays during the fall and spring semesters, drivers are encouraged to park at the UMass Boston Bayside Lot, located at 200 Mt. Vernon Street in Boston, and take a free shuttle to the Clark Athletic Center or the Campus Center. (This shuttle, Route 3, stops at the Clark Athletic Center first.) Other satellite lots, open weekdays only during the fall and spring semesters, are located at 265 Mt. Vernon Street and 75 Morrissey Boulevard. If drivers are parked at 265 Mt. Vernon Street, the Route 3 shuttle will pick them up; if drivers are parked at 75 Morrissey Boulevard, the Route 1 shuttle will pick them up. These shuttle routes do not run on the weekends.
For guests visiting the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for a campus tour or a scheduled appointment, a limited number of reserved parking spaces are located in the Beacons Lot. As routes may change due to construction, follow signs and check our parking map for the most up-to-date traffic patterns. Parking will be validated by staff in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

Bike racks are available at multiple on-campus locations.
Bikes are also available for rental, seasonally, at the Hubway bike-sharing kiosk, located by the Integrated Sciences Complex along University Drive West.
