  • The campus-bound Route 2 shuttle bus departing from the JFK/UMass MBTA station stops at the Clark Athletic Center before continuing on to the Campus Center.

The University of Massachusetts Boston’s Office of Transportation Services is here to help you access our campus, whether you are coming by car, bus, bike, or foot. Use our interactive campus map to find food, vending machines, and other amenities; you can also print our parking map or find campus buildings on our mobile app.

Are you taking public transportation?

Take the MBTA’s Red Line to the JFK/UMass subway station and then take one of our free shuttle buses. Our buses, which run every 5 to 10 minutes, will drop you off right in front of the Campus Center.

Route 8 and Route 16 MBTA buses also come to campus.

Are you driving to campus?

Read our directions and look at our parking map.

Please allow additional time for driving, parking, and walking due to possible delays caused by construction. For more information, check Construction Updates at www.umb.edu/construction.

During the fall and spring semesters, drivers are encouraged to park at the UMass Boston Bayside Lot, located at 200 Mt. Vernon Street in Boston, and take a free shuttle to the Clark Athletic Center or the Campus Center. (The Bayside shuttle bus, Route 3, has pick-up locations at both the Campus Center and the Clark Athletic Center.)

For guests visiting the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for a campus tour or a scheduled appointment, a limited number of reserved parking spaces are located in the Campus Center Garage. As routes may change due to construction, follow signs and check our parking map for the most up-to-date traffic patterns. Parking will be validated by staff in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

Parking costs $6 a day.

Discounted parking passes are available. Faculty and staff also have a pre-tax authorization option to pay for parking.

Are you biking to campus?

Bike racks are available at multiple on-campus locations.

Bikes are also available for rental, seasonally, at the Hubway bike-sharing kiosk, located across from the Campus Center.
