Getting Here

  • With the progression of the UCRR project in the Clark Athletic Center and Science building area, The BeaconĀ¹s Parking Lot will close effective Monday, May 21 2018. Many of the dislodged HP spaces will be relocated to the LL of the Campus Center Garage. Remaining State Vehicle, Authorized Parking and Motorcycle parking spaces will relocated to the D Lot. The permanent location for these spaces will be in the new Parking Garage West slated to open later this summer.
  • April 27, 2018 will be the last day for UMass Boston students, faculty, staff, and guests to park at 135 Morrissey Blvd (the Boston Globe parking lot). The closure of the lot will also be the end of the Route 4 shuttle bus service. Visit our Interactive Campus Map for assistance in making alternate parking plans.
  • During the spring semester, the Mt. Vernon Satellite Lot at St. Christopher's Church is open weekdays. Upon exiting the Bayside lot, Route 3 shuttle buses make a stop at this lot to pick up passengers.

The University of Massachusetts Boston’s Office of Transportation Services is here to help you access our campus, whether you are coming by car, bus, bike, or foot. Use our interactive campus map to find food, vending machines, and other amenities; you can also print our transportation map or find campus buildings on our mobile app.

On weekdays during the fall and spring semesters, drivers are encouraged to park at the UMass Boston Bayside Lot, located at 200 Mt. Vernon Street in Boston, and take a free shuttle to the Clark Athletic Center or the Campus Center. (This shuttle, Route 3, stops at the Clark Athletic Center first.) Another satellite lot, open weekdays only during the fall and spring semesters, is located at 265 Mt. Vernon Street. If drivers are parked at 265 Mt. Vernon Street, the Route 3 shuttle will pick them up. This shuttle route does not run on the weekends.

For guests visiting the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for a campus tour or a scheduled appointment, a limited number of reserved parking spaces are located in the Campus Center Garage. As routes may change due to construction, follow signs and check our transportation map for the most up-to-date traffic patterns. Parking will be validated by staff in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

Parking costs $6 a day.

Discounted parking passes are available. Faculty and staff also have a pre-tax authorization option to pay for parking.
