Students of all undergraduate majors can apply to – and succeed in – law school.
Although UMass Boston does not offer a formal prelaw program, we will help you put together an academic plan that best prepares you for law school. Before applying, however, it’s a good idea to examine your reasons for doing so and your expectations for the outcome. The Pre-Law Guide will help you do that, and will give you some insights into law school admissions.
Meet with a pre-law advisor to discuss:
· Career exploration and career planning
· Choosing a major/evaluating minors or programs of study
· Researching law schools
· Identifying valuable resources
· How to approach recommendation letters
· The LSAT
· Your personal statement
· and more!
