University Health Services (UHS) General Medicine provides primary and episodic healthcare for enrolled UMass Boston students.
Whether you need care for a new illness or injury, help managing an ongoing health concern, preventive care, or answers to a health question, our team is here to help.

When to See General Medicine
You can make an appointment with UHS General Medicine for:
- New illnesses or injuries — such as colds, flu, sore throats, urinary tract infections, sprains, wounds, or other concerns
- Ongoing health concerns — including chronic conditions that need continued care or management
- Preventive care — including routine healthcare, immunizations, screenings, and health counseling
- Sexual & reproductive health — including contraception, STI testing and treatment, and other sexual health concerns
- Other health questions — if you're not sure what's going on or what type of care you need, we're happy to help you figure out where to start

What to Expect
UHS offers both onsite and telehealth appointments, depending on your needs and the type of care you are seeking.
Most General Medicine appointments can be scheduled through the My Health Beacon Portal. You can also call 617-287-5660 for assistance.
Same-day appointments may be available for some illnesses and injuries. Call early in the day if you are looking for a same-day appointment.

Community & Language Access
UHS uses Language Line interpretation services to support communication during appointments. Interpretation is available in more than 240 languages.
Your UHS Healthcare Team
Our healthcare team includes nurse practitioners, consulting physicians, registered nurses, laboratory technicians, health educators, and clinical and administrative support staff.
We work together to provide healthcare that meets the needs of UMass Boston students.
