Census 2020

The Decennial Census is conducted every ten years and provides the most accurate counts of people in the nation, states, and smaller geographical areas, as well as information about age, sex, race and ethnicity, homeownership, and household composition. 2020 data will be released by the Census Bureau in phases.

The Institute for Asian American Studies is posting selected data on Asian Americans and other racial/ethnic groups in Massachusetts from the 2020 decennial census on this page. Please note that tables may refer to persons who identified themselves as one race “alone” or identified themselves as being of one or more race(s), called “alone or in combination,” and are labeled accordingly (with the exception of Latinos who may be of any race).

For socio-economic data and population estimates, see our American Community Survey page. For more U.S. Census data https://data.census.gov.
