Applying for Graduation
How to Apply for Graduation
All students must declare their intent to graduate by applying online through WISER* by the dates published on the Academic Calendar (typically March for the May & August degree dates; October for the December degree date).
* except for graduate students completing a Certificate or Master’s Degree and are continuing with another degree (master, certificate, or doctorate); instead of applying in WISER, you must complete the En Route Degree Completion form by the published filing deadline for the semester in which the certificate or degree is being completed. The Graduation Team will process the form and apply the correct plan for graduation.
Applying for graduation generates the one-time, mandatory, non-refundable Graduation Processing Fee (BA, BS, MA, MS, MBA, MPA, CAGS, PMC, EdS). The fee is posted to the bill of the term you are applying for (for example, if you apply for May the fee will be added to the spring bill, August your summer bill, and December your fall bill) and can be viewed on your Account Summary. The fee must be paid regardless of whether you intend to participate in the commencement ceremony.
