Project: Pollution Prevention Technical Assistance to Massachusetts Craft Breweries
SERC is leading a 2-year project funded by the U.S. Environment Protection Agency (EPA) to provide pollution prevention technical assistance to Massachusetts craft breweries. The project aims to help the brewing industry reduce the use of energy, water, and chemicals and prevent waste while achieving financial savings and improved brand recognition. The project involves interviews with brewery owners, site visits, and environmental assessments of Massachusetts craft breweries. The work is part of a larger New England Initiative to develop a common assessment and recognition program for ‘green’ breweries.
