Temporary Disability Parking
Request to Park in a Disability Parking Space for Up to 60 Days
UMass Boston will provide temporary disability parking accommodations for qualified students, staff, and faculty members. This accommodation will be for individuals with mobility issues whose disability will last up to 60 days or who are awaiting approval for a state disability parking placard.
A Temporary Disability Parking Permit is valid for up to 60 calendar days from date of issue. After 60 days, the parking accommodation with UMass Boston will end and cannot be renewed.
In order to park in a designated disability space on campus, in addition to the Temporary Disability Parking Permit, the employee or student must have a valid UMass Boston parking pass.
Process
- The Office of Civil Rights and Title IX will review and approve the temporary parking application.
- Once approved, The Office of Civil Rights and Title IX will notify the Transportation Services Department, who will contact the applicant when the Temporary Disability Parking Permit hangtag is ready for pick-up.
