FlossTime - On-Campus Dental Services

Did you know UMass Boston has FlossTime Dental Care right on campus? Whether you're a student, faculty, or staff member, FlossTime provides accessible dental services, including:
- Dental cleanings and exams
- Mobile X-rays
- Deep cleanings/SRP's
- On-site fillings and restorations
- Night guards
- Teeth whitening (out-of-pocket only)
Insurance Information
FlossTime accepts a wide range of dental insurances, including but not limited to:
- MassHealth (AGE 20 AND UNDER ONLY)
- Student Blue Cross Blue Shield (AGE 18 AND UNDER ONLY)
- Delta Dental (varies by plan)
- Aetna
- Cigna
- Metlife
- Guardian
- United Healthcare
- Altus Dental
- Other major insurances
Not accepted plans include:
- Any type of medical/health insurance (we accept dental insurance only)
- Aflac
- Delta Care
- EPN Plan by Delta Dental
- Humana

Cancellation Policy
By making an appointment, patients agree to the following:
- If the New Patient forms are not filled out within 48 hours, the dental appointment may be canceled.
- Failure to respond to texts or calls from FlossTime requesting new patient paperwork will result in appointment cancellation.
- Patients are required to fill out each dental form completely, with the correct information, and skipping any New Patient forms is not an option.
- All appointment cancellations/changes must be made 48 hours in advance to avoid a fee.
Any canceled appointments within 48 hours will require a $100 cancellation fee.

Oral Health Day 2026
UMass Boston is excited to celebrate Oral Health Day, promoting healthy smiles across our community! This year, UMass Boston is partnering with Boston Public Schools to provide comprehensive dental services in the Clark Gymnasium for ~200 children, including cavities, extractions, and cleanings. More information to come soon!
