About Research Day

The Robert and Donna Manning College of Nursing and Health Sciences Research Day will be held on Thursday, May 4th, 2023, featuring three guest speakers this year. The Jacqueline Fawcett Lecture on Promoting Health across the Lifespan will be given by Charles Hillman, PhD, of the Center for Cognitive & Brain Health in the Department of Psychology, and the Department of Physical Therapy, Movement & Rehabilitation Sciences at Northeastern University.  Our distinguished Keynote Speaker will be Shannon N. Zenk, PhD, MPH, RN, FAAN, Director of the National Institute of Nursing Research of the National Institutes of Health. And we are honored to have a Master Lecture by our own Laura L. Hayman, PhD, MSN, FAAN, FAHA, FPCNA, Professor in the Department of Nursing at MCNHS and Adjunct Professor in the Division of Preventive & Behavioral Medicine in the Department of Population & Quantitative Health Sciences at UMass Chan Medical School. We will also be showcasing student and faculty research with poster sessions in the morning and oral presentations in the afternoon.
