Faculty in the Donna M. and Robert J. Manning College of Nursing and Health Sciences (Manning College) engage in focused, collaborative, and transdisciplinary programs of research and scholarship to advance the continuum of health—from prevention to promotion, practice, and policy —across the life course for individuals and communities, locally and globally.
Broad topics of research & engagement include:

Our faculty have received funding from the National Institutes of Health, American Heart Association, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Health Resources and Services Administration, National League of Nursing, Merck, and other foundations.

Annual Research & Scholarship Day
Each spring, Manning College of Nursing & Health Sciences hosts a Research & Scholarship Day to celebrate the research and scholarship that takes place in our college.
The day-long event includes:
- a keynote session featuring guest speakers who share about their journeys in research and their fields of expertise
- poster and oral paper sessions in which our students, staff, and faculty present their research and scholarship
- special panel sessions with student researchers and alumni - a wonderful opportunity to find out about research opportunities and experiences available through Manning College
