Resources that Help Students Thrive
From tutoring and open lab access to mentorship and clinical coaching, our student services are designed to meet learners where they are. Through personalized guidance, hands-on practice, and collaborative support, nursing students build the confidence, skills, and leadership needed to thrive—academically, clinically, and professionally.
Tutoring Program
Tutoring Support Tailored for You
Whether mastering complex concepts or refining clinical skills, nursing students benefit from personalized academic support through our Tutoring Program. Led by practicing registered nurse graduate teaching assistants, sessions focus on study strategies, clinical reasoning, and skill development tailored to individual needs. Students can schedule one-on-one or small group sessions. With flexible availability and a learner-centered approach, tutoring helps students grow with confidence—academically and professionally.
Open Lab
Practice that Builds Proficiency
Students can refine clinical and simulation skills in a supportive, self-directed environment through Open Lab. With access to simulation equipment and guidance from graduate nurse teaching assistants, learners can practice physical assessments, psychomotor skills, and patient care scenarios at their own pace. Whether preparing for clinicals or building confidence in technique, Open Lab offers flexible, hands-on opportunities to strengthen skills and deepen understanding.
Student Nurse Mentor Program
Leadership that Lifts Others
Nursing students have the opportunity to lead, teach, and inspire through the Student Nurse Mentor Program. By supporting peers in developing clinical and psychomotor skills, mentors strengthen their own leadership and communication abilities while fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment. From tutoring and simulation support to hosting mini-workshops, mentors play a vital role in student success—building confidence, competence, and community.
Clinical Referral Program
Bridge to Clinical Success
For students who need additional support in meeting clinical objectives, the Clinical Referral Program offers a structured and individualized path forward. Clinical instructors and simulation educators work together to identify areas for growth and create focused learning experiences to meet each student’s needs. One-on-one sessions with simulation educators help strengthen clinical judgment, refine hands-on skills, and build confidence in patient care. This collaborative approach ensures students receive consistent, personalized feedback and the tools they need to succeed in clinical practice.
