Off-Campus Services
Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs) are specifically trained, certified professionals skilled in performing quality forensic medical exams, used to gather DNA evidence - such as bodily fluids, hair, and skin cells - and document injuries sustained during an attack. DNA evidence must be collected within five days of an assault.
All major hospitals in the Boston area have access to SANE nurses who are trained to deliver medical intervention and forensic medical examinations for victims of sexual assault. In addition, the following hospitals have specific violence prevention programs:

Weekly Wellness Walks
Join UHS Educators, Chloe & Beatriz, for GRACE Trail Walks on Wednesdays 2:00 - 3:00 PM! Meet us in front of the Integrated Science Complex (ISC) at 2 PM! We will leave by 2:05 PM.

Interfaith Center
The Interfaith Center at UMass Boston is here to serve the community by offering spiritual care to students, faculty, and staff. Our primary aim is to support students as they deepen their relationship with themselves, with God, and with others. We encourage students and members of the UMass Boston community to be faithful to their heritage and to continue their journey by exploring, welcoming, and appreciating diversity. Located on the 3rd floor of McCormack Hall.
Campus Center Front Lawn
On a nice day, the front lawn is a great location to sit and soak in the sun or nice weather. With the view of the harbor and a nice snack, you can find one of the available blue lawn chairs out on the grass or even sit on one of the scattered rocks facing the harbor. You can also rent out lawn games for free like spike ball, ladder ball, and more!
Cultural Collaborative Student Center
Looking for a sense of community and more of a social environment? Join other student centers in this hub of student interaction like the Black Student Center, the Queer Center, the Women's Center, the Student Veterans' Center, Casa Latina, the Asian Student Center, and more! Bring your laptop to do work, bring food to have lunch, or come to just socialize with your Beacon peers. Located on the 2nd floor of Campus Center, suite 3100.
The Wave | Game Room
Featuring video games, pool tables, and board games, the Game Room is the perfect spot to take a break between classes or to kick back and watch the game on the big screen. The game room is located on the upper level of the Campus Center, just past One Stop on the left (before the parking garage, next to the vending machines.
