Beyond the Classroom

The Robert and Donna Manning College of Nursing and Health Sciences has a number of student-centered community outreach, study abroad, and innovative academic offerings. The college has collaborations with nursing programs in Glasgow, Scotland, Korea, China and Kenya. Our students have been involved in relief efforts in Haiti and Katrina-ravaged Louisiana. Even online students have the opportunity to participate in service learning.

Affiliations with America's top health care agencies allows MCNHS to offer unrivaled  clinical experiences in healthcare settings such as the Boston Public Schools, Boston Healthcare for the Homeless, Boston’s Children's Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Massachusetts General Brigham. These offerings are complemented by Dedicated Education Units and other innovative education models. Students in the accelerated option are part of a unique intra-professional learning experience with medical students at Cambridge Health Alliance Hospitals.
