Thinking About Climate Change
Art, Science and Imagination in the 21st Century
FREE and open to the public
Please join us for this first of its kind conference hosted by the University of Massachusetts Boston. During the two day event there will be panel presentations by invited artists, scientists and public policy representatives to provide a transdisciplinary focus and discussion on climate change. Accompanying the panel discussions will be two art exhibitions, a video program from the Revolutions Per Minute Festival, student initiated events, and sponsorship tables where you can find out information about the many current climate initiatives in our area.
This conference explores interdisciplinary connections, shared foundations, tensions between individual and institutional structures, fostering exploration, awareness, education, and action-able solutions. It also aims to inspire scientists, researchers and artists to direct their skills to stem global warming and for sustainable development through public policy and community actions.
