Urban Scholars Program
Urban Scholars is a place for committed students to build the skills, muster the drive, and live the experiences that will ensure their success in college. Our mission of providing the life-changing opportunity of a college education remains as strong today as in 1983 when Urban Scholars began.
From an original enrollment of fifteen academically talented Boston public high school students, we have served over 2,000 students. Graduates of the program have a college enrollment rate of 98 percent, compared to 57 percent for their peers from non-exam Boston high schools.

Scholarships
Each summer, Urban Scholars awards two scholarships, Amanda Nguyen Memorial Scholarship and Trang Ho Memorial Scholarship to students in the program. These scholarships are only available to enrolled and active Urban Scholars students and are explained below.
